New Military Contract and Olympic Success|

Omni-Lite (OML) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a long term agreement to develop a series of military products with SNC TECHNOLOGIES INC. of Canada. The initial contract, which began Sept 29, 2000, includes the research and development for a new component with worldwide application. Under this contract, Omni-Lite is scheduled to deliver a series of prototypes by February 2001. The successful conclusion of a detailed series of laboratory and field tests, to be completed by July 2001, is a critical step toward the first production contracts, which could begin in Q3 of 2001.
"This is an exciting new long term opportunity for the company" stated David F. Grant, President and CEO. " The company's technology is ideally suited to this type of research and development and the plant capacity is sufficient to meet the demands of a large customer like SNC TECHNOLOGIES INC."
Omni-Lite will be working closely with SNC TEC Corp. of Avon, CT (SNC TECHNOLOGIES US subsidiary) to promote these concepts to both the US Department of Defense and Law Enforcement Agencies.
Omni-Lite's products were utilized by many of the Gold Medal winning athletes in Sydney, Australia. Based on information that the company has received to date, products made by the company's Sports and Recreation division were utilized in several gold medal performances including the Men's 100m and 400m and the women's 100m, 200m and 400m sprint events. These products include the ceramic compression spikes utilized in the famed gold shoes and the Z spike developed for adidas. The Z spike was utilized by several athletes including members of the Canadian Sprint team.
The company has also finalized the design of the alternator component for Stalcop L.P. and expects to provide prototypes for evaluation in November of 2000. Initial production of 1,000,000 components is scheduled for December 2000.
