December 17, 2007
Omni-Lite Industries Canada Inc. has received several new orders in the military, aerospace and automotive divisions. The total value of these orders is approximately $403,000 (U.S.). One of the military orders is of particular significance because it places Omni-Lite at the forefront of a new development for the United States military. "To date in 2007, revenue from military orders shipped to customers is approximately $2.5-million, an increase of 93 per cent over military orders shipped in all of 2006," stated Allen W. Maxin, vice-president of operations. "The backlog of orders for military products currently stands at an additional $2.3-million."
In late November, the company received the second machine ordered as part of the Vision 2010 expansion program. It is anticipated that the third machine will be delivered in late December of this year. At the end of the expansion program, the company will have 36 cold forging systems, placing it as one of the largest facilities offering these technologies in the world.
