Omni-Lite gets $1.7-million (U.S.) in orders

Omni-Lite Industries Canada Inc. has received several new orders in the military, aerospace, automotive, and sports and recreation divisions. The total value of these orders is approximately $1.7-million (U.S.). Of particular significance, the company has seen year-to-year growth in the military division of approximately 182 per cent, highlighted by a 243-per-cent increase in sales of one component and a 161-per-cent increase in sales of another component. The total value of sales in the military division accounts for approximately 38 per cent of the company's fiscal year sales to date.
"In the past two months, the company has seen significant new orders in all divisions. These orders are being lead by an increase in the military activities of the company," stated Paul A. Burkey, president and chief operating officer. "The extensive research efforts that the company expended in 2006 are starting to show benefits. To further this growth, Omni-Lite is investing heavily in the research and development of new projects that could benefit the company in the near future. Military sales associated with company's past and future development programs are expected to remain strong for the next several years."
