April 20, 2005
Omni-Lite Industries Canada Inc. has received a purchase order from a new second source customer for components currently being manufactured for the United States military and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. This order will support the military's need for additional 40-millimetre ammunition components used through out the world. "We believe this program has the potential for an additional annual revenue of $700,000 to $800,000 for the next two to three years," stated Allen Maxin, vice-president of operations support. "We are pleased with Omni-Lite's success in the development of this component and the recent increase in demand."
In addition, Omni-Lite has received PPAP approval for the first of two new components developed for a large diesel engine OEM. The company began production of the first new component and hopes to receive PPAP approval for the second component before month-end.
Omni-Lite E-Form Technologies Inc. has successfully completed the first of two projects for Rockwell Scientific, in the development of new high-strength materials designed for future aerospace applications.
